Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 3 June 2025
1. Our commitment
Trailhead Quietude is committed to making its website accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of the technology they use or any disabilities they may have. Our target is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
We recognise this as an ongoing process. The site is reviewed periodically and we act on accessibility findings when they come to our attention. If you encounter a barrier or have a suggestion, we want to hear about it.
2. Conformance status
This website aims to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Our work towards this includes the following measures.
3. Measures taken
- Semantic HTML — the site uses correct heading structure, landmark regions (
<header>,<main>,<footer>,<nav>), and native elements (<details>for the FAQ,<dialog>for the cookie panel) to support screen readers and assistive technology. - Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements — navigation links, form fields, the submit button, the cookie consent dialog, and FAQ items — are reachable and operable using only a keyboard. Focus outlines are visible at all times.
- Colour contrast — text and interactive elements are checked to meet or exceed a contrast ratio of 4.5:1 against their backgrounds, as required by WCAG 2.1 Success Criterion 1.4.3.
- Reduced-motion support — the site respects the
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query. When a user has indicated they prefer reduced motion in their system settings, transitions and any hover effects are suppressed. - Descriptive alt text — all informative images carry descriptive
altattributes. Decorative images use an emptyalt=""so screen readers skip them. - Labelled form fields — every field in the enquiry form has an associated
<label>element. Required fields are indicated both visually and in the label text. - Scalable text — the site uses relative units for font sizes and is tested at up to 200% zoom without horizontal scrolling on typical screen widths.
- ARIA attributes —
aria-label,aria-expanded,aria-controls, andaria-hiddenare used where native HTML semantics do not sufficiently describe the element's role or state.
4. Known limitations
We are aware of the following areas where the site may fall short of full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance:
- The Google Maps iframe embedded on the homepage is provided by a third party and its internal accessibility controls are outside our direct control. Users who cannot use the map can find the full address and contact details in the contact section and in the footer.
- Images sourced from Lorem Picsum during development may not yet have fully contextual alt text until the final brand images are substituted by the post-generation pipeline.
We intend to address these areas as the site develops and as the tools available to us improve.
5. Feedback and contact
If you experience an accessibility barrier on this site, or if you cannot access any content or complete a task, please let us know. We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within five working days.

When reporting an issue, please describe the page and the specific problem as clearly as you can, and the browser and assistive technology you were using. This helps us reproduce and address it more quickly.
6. Date of this statement
This accessibility statement was prepared on 3 June 2025 and will be reviewed at least once a year, or whenever significant changes are made to the site.
